It Was Happily After Ever Afterall!

Trail of Crumbs’ second event went off without a hitch in the spectacular studio space of Ellagraph Studios in Walker’s Point. Guests arrived at 6:30 p.m. and shared wine, conversation, stories, and delicious foodstuffs to a backdrop inspired by fairytale and folklore. “The Six Swans”
an apéritif of Solerno blood orange liqueur, vanilla-infused vodka, and a little bubbly, decorated with a dusted rim of cardamom vanilla sugar

“The Happy Family” featuring Father Snail
snails sautéed in shallots and white wine, served on a baguette with a parsley and garlic compound butter

“The Princess and the Pea”
split pea and ham soup with garam masala and lemon peel, accompanied by a pillow of puff pastry

“The Ugly Duckling”
duck confit served on a bed of rocket salad with fennel dressing

“Mutton Fat and Pig Blood”
red-cooked pork belly seared in oil and mutton fat in a hibiscus, Sichuan peppercorn, and palm sugar reduction, with a garnish of flash-fried scallion

“Donkey Cabbages”
fresh cabbage salad with red pepper, carrot, and onion, finished with a pan-fried chicken heart

“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”
pork tenderloin with chipotle apple butter served on a bed of greens

“God’s Food”
caramelized bread pudding with vanilla-roasted cherries
